I thought it would be fun to create a series of Premier League season reviews on YouTube. I initially planned to draw pictures of footballers. However, my first drawing (Brian Deane – the scorer of the Premier League’s first goal) was shocking, so I created a mock Ceefax/Teletext-style vidiprinter graphic instead. The graphic looked 100x better than the drawing, which gave me the idea to make every video in the classic retro style you see on Deefax Football today. I’ve also published several books, including The Premier League in the 1990s: The Making of Modern Football, and the “Who am I?” series. All books are available to buy now on Amazon.
